WAITING FOR THE RIGHT TIME

OCTOBER 2026 -

As the Season turns, here in the North leaves are preparing to fall from the Trees. They are starting the long journey of becoming mulch and nourishing the future. It is a time of glorious gathering, of sweeping and swishing, endings and openings, decay and dancing. 

It is also a time of cleaning and clearing away. Of taking care and making spaces ready before anything new can take root. 

Preparation may not feel quite as exciting as the active doing parts of a process, but is so necessary. When we prepare well, we create good growing conditions for whatever we want to encourage more into our Lives. 

So at this time we consider: What is composting in us that may take time to find its way into the depths? What needs completing? What rest is required so we can be more ready later on? 

How do we come to know what is to be swept away or kept? It can take time and patience. But one day it will become clear. Just like the Leaf knows when to fall; just like the Seed knows when to sprout - so we will also sense when the right time comes. When a step becomes inevitable. When a call grows louder. When an invitation opens our hearts and a new song arrives. 

There is a natural time that our lives can align with as we listen and connect. Signs speaking to us if we pay attention. There is a knowing that we can notice in body and soul. When the right time comes, we step into action. Until then, we wait in a present awake way, taking part in larger ongoing transformations that move at their own pace.

Knowing that as we wait, we are here and we are Alive.
