LIFE IS A CEREMONY

This one wondrous Life we have been gifted

It is ours to Live

We do not need to go away to come home

Life is right here

Our breath in our bodies  - is a ceremony

The bee landing on heather - is a ceremony

The Water flowing out of the tap - is a ceremony

Receiving the bounty of food - is a ceremony

Feeling our feet on the Earth - is a ceremony

Here we are in a place of Power

Supported by Earth, Sun, Sky and Waves

We are so blessed to be alive

Sometimes we may expect ceremony to be grand and dramatic

It can also be small and joyful

As we open to Life as a Ceremony, we open to beauty and magic

I open my hand and see what arrives

I let my heart hold hope even in the bleakest of times

I listen to Songs of Wind and Water and I know

That Life continues

Every day can be a ceremony, as we open our senses

and attune to the Living World around us

Exploring Life as Ceremony is an ongoing practice. It is something we can engage with regularly, in small simple ways. 

Notice what your expectations are around this, what you think it should be, what you want it to be? 

Then put them aside and go out to be with Life. Just as it is, here, today. Listen, pay attention, be curious and wondrous. 

Look outside of yourself and see who is here with you on your path - a butterfly, a flower, a pebble, a puddle...

Enjoy meeting the ones who share space with you, get to know them without expectation. Enjoy meeting Life, as it shows itself to you

The more we look, the more we see. The more we open, the more we connect. Life is Here, all around, in every breath.
