SOUL RETRIEVAL
Learning healing ways with the Spirits to bring the Soul back home
Residential course, Halland, Sweden: Wed 23 - Mon 28 July 2025
* This course is for people who work with clients or intend to *
You need to have previous shamanic training similar to SCSS
Soul Retrieval is a way of healing with the Spirits that is very specific and precise work and needs special skills and understanding. In traditional societies around the world, soul-loss is seen as a major cause of much serious illness.
Soul-loss can make us feel separated from our bodies, our feelings, our relationships, and from Life itself. Soul-loss keeps us from feeling connected to the Earth, and to the joy and power she has to offer to us.
When we receive more of ourselves home, we are able to live more fully and be more of who we are. Things we may have struggled with before become easier and destructive patterns tend to disappear.
It is a classic part of the shaman's work to find lost soul-parts and bring them home. Participants will be introduced to many different aspects of working with soul-loss and soul retrieval, and learn how this can be effective for people who have suffered spiritual, emotional or physical trauma.
Contrary to what many assume, most soul loss does not happen because parts are taken from us. Instead it is quite common to give parts of ourselves away, consciously or unconsciously, or they are leave after prolonged periods of denial or bad habits, as a survival mechanism.
The course also covers the ethics of working with soul retrieval and essential practices such as deep listening, holding a healing space, and maintaining our own health when doing this work over time.
We will also touch on how to work with soul retrieval in other-than-human Nature.
You will experience how it is to receive soul parts from the Spirits by taking part in a variety of pair work exercises. One of the best ways of learning about this type of healing is to go through it yourself. This helps us to understand how to best help people and the different things that can happen in a healing process.
Working with Spirit Journeys, Nature, and Ceremonies, there will be time to share experiences and reflect on how to bring the wisdom home to our lives.

Special Opportunity: the course also offers a possibility to do a traditional ceremonial Sitting-Out at night (Utiseta) for those who wish.
This intensive residential course is taught in English, by Jonathan Horwitz & Zara Waldebäck
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Some of the coursework will be done in pairs. All participants must take part in this, both receiving as client and being the one in the healer's role. This is not optional. It is important that you bring real issues that you need healing for, either physical, emotional or spiritual.
If you have trained in other healing methods, it is essential that you do not practice them during the course, but only use the way that we share with you. This enables a clean and well held working space for all.
WHO THIS COURSE IS FOR:
This is an intensive and demanding course that is especially for people who want to learn how to do soul retrieval work for others. Although you will receive healing on the course, it is not primarily intended for people only seeking soul retrievals for themselves. If you are mainly interested in receiving help for yourself, please come to the SOUL CARE course in May 2025 instead.
APPLICATION PROCESS:
