SPIRITUAL ECOLOGY
Exploring ecosystems from the perspective of the Spirits and the 4 Elements
Residential course, Halland, Sweden: Wed 19 - Sun 23 July 2023
* This course is for people with previous shamanic training similar to SCSS *
It also offers the opportunity to Sit-Out over night
Spiritual Ecology centres on the 4 Elements - Water, Air, Earth, Fire - and their evolving interactions. We will learn directly from the Elements about how they move and balance with each other, and how they affect our lives as humans on the planet. Honouring them as ancient wise beings, we explore how to best work with them at this time of extreme weather and climate change.
When we experience ecosystems from the perspective of Nature and the Spirits, we open to more-than-human guidance and inspiration. This can help us feel a deeper connection and find new solutions for supporting Life on Earth.
From ancient times humans all over the world have worked together with Nature to receive healing, power and wisdom. During this workshop, you will learn how to come into contact with Spirits of Nature and what it means to be part of a greater whole. Now it is more important than ever to re-learn and remember what it means to live well together.
We will explore ways to come into deeper relationship with the Earth, both personally and in groups. Walking with intention, our awareness can expand and become more receptive to the intelligence of Nature – both inside us and around us. Working together we can experience how to be an interconnected, natural part of the Earth.
Working with Spirit Journeys, Nature, and Ceremonies, we will take time to share experiences and how to bring the wisdom home to our lives.
Special Opportunity: the course also offers a possibility to do a traditional ceremonial Sitting-Out at night (Utiseta) for those who wish.
This intensive residential course is taught in English, by Jonathan Horwitz & Zara Waldebäck
Participants must have completed introductory training "The Shaman's Journey" or agreed equivalent. You must already have experience of shamanic journeying in a tradition similar to ours and have good contact with at least two Spirit Helpers. Working together in this way ensures we share a common ground and language for the connection to the Spirits.
