EXPERIENTIAL ONLINE INTRODUCTION COURSE -
Shamanism is humanity's oldest spiritual practice, a tradition for healing and problem solving. It is a way of maintaining balance in the individual, and between the individual and all of creation. Shamanism is not only found in indigenous cultures. Northern Europe also has an ancient shamanic tradition, and we all have - as human beings - the ability to connect with our soul and with the Spirits.
During this basic introduction, participants will experience some of the key ways practiced for thousands of years around the world. You will learn to work with Rattles, Song, and Nature through a range of practical exercises and discussions. Though it does not teach shamanic journeying, it is an excellent first step to meeting the Spirits and gives good grounding in working with Power, Ethics, Intention and Connection. It will help you discover how it is possible to shift to into a more expanded consciousness and live with greater awareness.
This intensive and experiential course helps to build a solid foundation for any Spirit work. The exercises are simple but deep, depending on how you engage with them. The course shows you how to bring a regular concrete practice into your daily life and how to take it further. We will also explore the essential elements of trust, discipline, and working with intention.
A connected way of life can empower us every day and help us to rediscover a more soulful way of being. In these days of environmental challenges and exploitation of natural resources, it is more important than ever that we learn to remember and relate to the world as alive.
You will experience connection to the sacred power of the Circle and take part in group ceremonies. There will be time to ask questions, both in live meetings and on the online course space, so you can receive support and inspiration for continuing to work at home.
Though this is an introduction course, it can be helpful for anyone, wherever you are on your path, as it goes into depth and detail about ways to recognize, receive and relate to Spirit Power
** Please note that on this course we will not be teaching about the shamanic drum journey. In many other ways it is similar to the residential introduction course “The Shaman’s Journey”

PRACTICAL INFORMATION:
The course is taught by Jonathan and Zara, in English.
The live sessions are interactive online meetings, with time for essential teachings, a variety of exercises, participant questions and circle sharing.
In between meetings, you have access to audio recordings and a range of supporting materials to help you deepen your experience and build confidence for your personal practice. Course participants have access to an online course space where you can connect with each other. It will stay open and available to you for the rest of the year.
This is a highly experiential course and you will be asked to do personal work and exercises in between meetings. This helps you to directly engage with the practice and have a felt sense of how it is for you. To get the most out of the course, we highly recommend you spend 2-3 hrs a week exploring the exercises in your own time.
The first 3 sessions introduce a range of practices and live ceremonies. The final session, after 2 weeks, gives time to sharing, reflection, guidance and an opportunity to ask questions.
** Please only book this course if you intend to take part in all or most live meetings and engage with practice in between sessions. This is a highly interactive course with group exercises and reflection.

TECHNICAL INFO:
You will need to connect to the Zoom meetings via a computer or tablet. We do not recommend using a phone for this course as it is important to see the larger group during the sessions.
If you have never taken part in an online course, it is quite simple and you will get technical guidance to help you prepare. This is a different way of meeting but very powerful in its own way.
